Notice to parents
Version coppa-v1.0 · Last updated April 24, 2026
Ark is designed for families. Parents and legal guardians use Ark to organize schedules, chores, and rewards for their household. If you add a profile for a child under 13, this notice explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What we collect about your child
- First name (or nickname) that you enter.
- Age / date of birth.
- Chores you assign them, and which they've completed.
- Rewards they earn and their token balance.
- A visual theme they choose inside kid mode.
We do not collect: email, phone number, photos, location, contacts, or persistent identifiers for advertising.
How it's used
Only to run the Ark service for your family. We never sell children's data, never share it with advertisers, and never use it to train AI models. Anthropic processes conversational prompts that may include your child's first name for context; they do not use this data to train models.
Your consent
During onboarding we ask you to certify that you are the parent or legal guardian of every child you add, and to consent on their behalf. Your IP address, the time, and the policy version are logged for audit. This is our COPPA (US) and Children's Code (UK) compliance record.
You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting the child's profile in Settings or by emailing privacy@arkfamily.app. We'll delete all their data within 30 days.
What kids can see inside Ark
Kid mode only shows the child their own chores, their own tokens, and their own rewards. They cannot see messages between parents, other children's data, or any admin settings.
Review or delete
Log in to your parent account → Settings to review or delete any child profile. For a complete data export covering your child, use /delete-data.
